Lien Waver For Contractors

As an electrical contractor, I have been asked to do some strange things.  Some have been good for me and some have been good for the general building contractor.  As a sub contractor, I have been asked to sign a lien waver on a new construction house.  I had just bid on the job when the general contractor called and asked me to sign a lien waver.

Homeowner Failed To Cancel A Scheduled Job

A customer called me for an appointment to do electrical work.  The customer called me Tuesday night and scheduled a job that same week at her house for a Thursday morning at 8:00 AM.  I arrived at her house and she said “I already got the job done.”  I said, “why didn’t you call me and cancel the job?  You didn’t tell me you got someone else.”
