Do you compare electricians? I have had a problem with this since I started in this field. Everyone says to compare apples to apples. Are you using 12 gauge wire? Yes. How many circuits are you putting in that house? They won't tell you that. How much voltage drop do you require when you do that house? They won't tell you. How much do you do this or that? They won't tell you. I had one homeowner compare me to another electrician several times. But there was no comparison. I told him I can't tell you everything but I do wire better than most electricians.
I can give you references. I can tell you how to save electricity. Does voltage drop make a difference in that? Yes. Does wiring a lot more circuits in a house make voltage drop? Yes. Does wiring receptacles when they don't have a heat loss help in voltage drop? Yes. Does it help in your electricity? Yes. Heat loss is a loss: it's a power loss which will increase your electric bill. So, where ever you have a loose connection, you have a loss. You are loosing electricity. And you don't even know it.
You could have a loss in your panel. It could be in a receptacle. It could be anywhere. That's why code says you should have receptacles continuous. In fact, some places require it and some places don't. In Louisiana, they don't require that you pig tale each receptacle to make it continuous. What does continuous mean? It means uninterrupted.
